A common lament of parents is "Why don't they listen to me?" |
 |
I believe a parent has got to say only what they mean. For example, some parents say, "Touch that and I'll break your fingers," or "If you don't clean your room, we aren't going to the zoo!" Well, you aren't going to break their fingers, and then you do go to the zoo dispite the messy room. You get the idea - think before you speak, and then keep your word, for better or for worse. |
| Here's a fun recipe for homemade playdough. Alot safer than storebought and remember, half the fun is in making it! |
 |
Playdough Recipe
- 2 cups white flour
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup salt
- 4 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
- 2 tablespoons oil
- food coloring
|
Mix all dry ingredients. Add liquids and cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Stir constantly. Ignore lumps and cook about 5 minutes until it pulls away from sides of pan. Knead like a bread dough. Store in closed plastic bag or container. |
